THE BEATLES: THIS IS A **SUPER RARE** ORIGINAL 1963 UK PARLOPHONE COLOUR PROMOTIONAL POSTER
In perfectly PRESERVED **mint** condition, and to be accompanied with PROVENANCE to die for, this SUPER RARE and ORIGINAL UK Parlophone Colour Promotional Poster was issued by Parlophone in 1963 to promote THE BEATLES on Parlophone Records!
To give you some background and acting as **SOLID PROVENANCE** – This VINTAGE Poster was purchased DIRECT by us from a well respected and long established Antiques Dealer who was commissioned, back in 2002, to clear the Estate of a Deceased EMI Executive. To his great surprise, in one of the cupboards, the Antiques Dealer found, amongst other items, an **UNOPENED** pack of these **UNCIRCULATED** Beatles 1963 UK PROMOTIONAL Posters.
**Please note it is understood that EMI only ever issued this ONE PACK of 1963 Beatles Promotional Posters at the time - no others have ever been discovered.** They were deemed for circulation to Record Stores and relevant media organisations to advertise The Beatles on Parlophone Records. HOWEVER, for reasons only known to the deceased EMI Executive (!) non of these Posters were were ever circulated at the time - instead they sat in an unopened pack in the bottom of a cupboard at his home until he died back in 2002 - QUITE REMARKABLE!
For your information, one of the posters from this find was subsequently placed in Auction at Christies in London in 2002. Christies also confirmed in their Auction catalogue listing that this was the **FIRST TIME** that they had ever seen this Poster, further confirming that the Poster had NEVER BEEN CIRCULATED BACK in 1963! As a result it sold for in excess of UK Pounds 2,200!
To accompany this HISTORIC purchase, we will be providing a Letter of Authenticity, supplied on our company letterhead, confirming the background and PROVENANCE behind the poster, together with a copy of the relevant Christies Auction Catalogue Page confirming the date of the auction, the relevant Lot number, and hammer price.
This Significant Colour poster measures approximately 15" x 12" and is in totally PRESERVED **mint** condition. There is NO creasing, NO tearing, NO hand writing, and NO damage to any part. Due to the ideal storage conditions, the colours have remained in Perfect PRESERVED day of release condition – REMARKABLE - BRIGHT and VIVID with no fading - INCREDIBLE!!
