FIRST ‘1’ MATRIXES, NEAR MINT SLEEVE, NEAR MINT VINYL, PAUL’S SECOND UK SOLO ALBUM IN THE MOST OUTSTANDING CONDITION THROUGHOUT!!

Entitled ‘RAM’, this was Paul's second HIGHLY ACCLAIMED solo UK album, released by EMI/APPLE UK on 21 May 1971 and credited to Paul and Linda McCartney.

Recording sessions for the album took place in New York, at the A and R studios between January and March 1971 and RAM entered the U.K. charts straight in at number 1, knocking The Rolling Stones album Sticky Fingers off of the top slot.

Interestingly, Paul was so pleased with ‘Ram’, he made a full orchestral re-make the same year under the pseudonym Percy "Thrills" Thrillington, although it wasn't released by E.M.I. until 1977.

Released by EMI/Apple on 21 May 1971 this ORIGINAL UK EMI/APPLE **FIRST ISSUE** Stereo Heavyweight VINYL LP is on the Custom GREEN Apple Label with ‘Apple Records’ label rim, and ‘Mfd in UK’ printed to both records.

The record labels are in SUPERB near mint condition.  A STUNNING set of UNDAMAGED, UNFADED record labels, with no more than a few faint centre spider trails.

Side 1 stamped matrix: YEX 837-1 and side 2: YEX 838-1
Side 1 stampers: 14/TH and side 2: 1/TO

 Both sides of the Vinyl LP are in SUPERB near mint to mint condition.  GLEAMING Vinyl surfaces with just a couple of very light surface hairlines, but no scuffs or scratches

Both sides PLAY PERFECTLY – We can’t fault the playing quality.  NO clicks, skips, background crackle or distortion.

The album comes in its ORIGINAL Plain White Paper MADE in GREAT BRITAIN Bag which is also in near mint condition.  NO seam splits or tearing, just light creasing ....... 

...... and is housed in its original 1st Issue FULLY LAMINATED GATEFOLD Picture Sleeve.  The sleeve Artwork was designed by Paul with photography by Linda

This near mint gatefold sleeve is a TOP example. The sleeve is extremely FLAT and FIRM, and the Laminate HIGHLY GLOSSY throughout.  All edges are UNDAMAGED with only minor corner bruising to the top and bottom opening edge, and the faintest record impression to the reverse of the sleeve, but you have to look hard to detect it. The spine edge is PERFECT just a little faded and the printed wording ‘Paul and Linda McCartney – Ram PAS 10003’ clearly legible. The inside of the gatefold sleeve is in GORGEOUS near mint condition
