Description

Beatles: "Let It Be" Box Issue 1970

Apple PCSO 7096 Australian issue

Outer slip cover VG++ (Has no splits or tears just light general wear and is fully laminated)

Record cover NM (Laminated on the front)

Main inner tray VG++ (Still in one piece very nice)

Book tray (Missing thrown out unfortunately)

Book VG+ (The outside with its lamination is NM but it does have some loose pages at the beginning hence the VG+ grading. But all the books end up with loose pages nearly straight away. A weak design unfortunately. But this book is as good as you’re likely to find. It’s quite nice)

Record VG++ (All the early pressings came on heavy vinyl between 140-160g and the Apple labels had italics on the R.P.M. and under the Beatles An E.M.I. Recording. Also EMI used bold letters on some of the label references like STEREO, LET IT BE, etc. The reissues didn’t have the weight, the italics and the boldness became much thinner. The original pressing run continued into the early regular cover issues. The early regular covers were identical with the box issues. Just a little help for those interested in original early pressing information.)

This is one of those albums that doesn’t really need much introduction. It’s the great Beatles "Let It Be" LP from 1970. Not maybe their finest LP but a great testament to who they were. It’s quite different from all their previous LPs in that it has a more raw feel and different mix from their usual standard mixes. I personally love it and think it’s underrated.

This is the now rare Australian box issue that is becoming harder and harder to find. It is all made in the UK except for the record and inner record cover which were made in Australia. The book has the Australian publisher credits glued over the UK references. A real collector item.

As a bonus I’m including a reissue with cover for playing purposes so that you won’t need to drag the box set out every time you want to play the album.
