Beatles LP White Album INFAMOUS MOTHERLODE OF 31 ERRORS!

This copy of the White Album is not a bootleg.  The country of origin is unknown, but what is known is that the plates were supplied by the Winchester plant.  “Mastered by Capitol” is clearly stamped in the dead wax, along with the later Winchester logo.  Appears to have been pressed from the 1983 issue black Capitol label with rainbow. Long sought-after and too seldom seen by collectors of foreign errors, you’re likely not to find another one for sale for a very long time.

Vinyl--- All four sides, VG++ to NM.  Plates used were definitely Capitol plates from the U.S., so the sound quality is great.  Stereo separation is amazing! The vinyl stock however, was not the best.  Pressed in thick vinyl with light pock-marks, playback has surface noise, due to the region’s lack of access to quality vinyl.

Plates--- Record 1 G103/ G102, “Specialty” logo in dead wax, along with the Winchester logo.

Record 2 G106/ H102, “Specialty” logo, Winchester logo and “Mastered by Capitol” in the dead wax.

Cover--- VERY nice, NO split seams, slightly yellowed, a little dirtwear on the back.  Flimsy cardboard cover, NO POSTER OR PHOTOS WERE ISSUED WITH THIS COPY.

Labels--- Record 1 labels are aqua in color.  Record 2 labels are cream colored.  Very light spindle marks on Side 2 label, otherwise all labels are NM.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Issued in thick rice paper plastic sleeves, both NM.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!) 

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
