Beatles LP Rubber Soul First Pressing MONO VG+/VG++

This week, there are several MONO first pressing LP’s for sale.  None of these are Near Mint, but none of these are below the very high end of VG.  Most are VG+, and some are a beautiful VG++, dangerously close to NM.  All of these copies would make either very nice first copies, many steps above filler copies, or else they will make great Christmas gifts for your collector who is missing any of these titles.  Please feel free to peruse.

Beatles LP Rubber Soul First Pressing MONO VG+/VG++

Vinyl--- Really nice Decca contract pressing.  “The Beatles” does not appear on the labels, making this copy a first pressing.  Under a bright bulb, side 1 has a few very light marks, side 2 has less.  Both sides look beautiful in normal room lighting.  Just a couple barely detectable lines on side one, with much scrutiny.  Mono mix of “Norwegian Wood” has the infamous cough just before the line, “So I looked around…”  “I’m Looking Through You” does not contain the false start on this copy.

Plates--- P3G/P5G   Note: Most, if not all Decca copies have P plates.

Cover--- Pretty good cover!  Structurally solid, with no splits or shelfwear at all.  Front cover has very little wear.  A very small rust-colored stain at the top right corner.  One very light scratch running down the left side, down John’s face.  You won’t see it unless you look for it.  Back cover has light dirtwear. Not much.  Two more small rust-colored stains to the sides is all. 

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Olive green.  Nice condition.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
