Beatles LP "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" Version 1 STEREO "AD BACK" Beautiful & Rare.
Record appears to be flawless. Not a single scratch observed. Side II has some slight wear to the label near the spindle hole (photo). Absolutely stunning, you won’t be disappointed!
Sleeve has a date (bought date) in pen and numbers (sale price?) written on the rear in pencil. Also some tape or residue was noticed on the back of the sleeve that was not very sticky (see pictures). The tape is not near the edges and does not detract from the beauty of the “AD Back”. This is not a FAKE, the entire front and back appears glossy and has vibrant colors. The front of the sleeve appears flawless, absolutely beautiful, corners are sharp and binding is very tight, feels new. In better condition then most of my personal record collection. A real awesome piece of history.
The top and bottom have a 1/4 inch extra flap (to hold the record in).
Absolutely stunning version 1!!!
***I am not an expert on grading but I did my best. Please look closely at the photos.***
•All "Ad Back" covers were manufactured with front slicks containing the phrase “Printed in U.S.A.” running vertically along its lower left side.
•The stereo covers have the white top banner with “STEREOPHONIC” centered in grey and the number SR 1062 in black in the upper right-hand corner.
•Has the OVAL Vee Jay Labels.
Record-From what I can gather, the vinyl is what’s considered the “1st Label” for Version 1 covers
•Black Rainbow label with Oval Vee-Jay logo
•MR1A-states words “Long Playing” "Microgroove" in upper & lower case font.
•"INTRODUCING … THE BEATLES" and "THE BEATLES" above the spindle hole.
•"P.S. I LOVE YOU" and "LOVE ME DO" found only on VERSION 1 copies.
