READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles-Rel. LP George Harrison All Things Must Pass SCARCE Black Capitol JAX PROMO, NM!

(NOTE: For those who collect Beatles interviews, you’ll remember that when George released the “All Things Must Pass” 2000 box with the colorized cover, he was asked why he did that.  His response was because “the cover on the last release in America looked like a Xerox-quality print, which I wasn’t happy with.  So I thought hell, it needs to be redone anyway.”  This is the promo of the issue he was talking about!)

The Jacksonville plant isn’t known for issuing promos as much as the LA plant is.  This is the impossible Black Capitol with promo hole.  It’s the only plant which featured the “Record 1” through “Record 3” designations on the labels.  “It’s Johnny’s Birthday” is retitled “Congratulations,” (oddly enough, there would be a Wilbury’s song of the same name), with songwriting credits not to George.  The “Apple Jam” LP on this and the rare purple Capitol set is titled, “All Things Must Pass.”

Vinyl--- NM/ NM.  NM/ NM.  NM/ NM.  They all look unplayed.  I certainly never played these discs.  Side 1 has manufacturing streaks throughout the vinyl, but they’re beneath the grooves.

Plates--- H1/ G8. G23/ G6.  G6/ G14.  Machine-stamped letter “O” in the dead wax on all 6 sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Side 1 was mastered by Jay, Side 2 just has a squiggle, whoever that is.  Side 3 was mastered by “ERT,” whoever that is, Side 4 was mastered by “ML.”  Whoever THAT is.  Side 5 was mastered by “202,” whoever that is and Side 6 was mastered by “Wayne D.”  Whoever THAT is. 

Cover--- EX/ NM.  Front of box has slight dirtwear, and that’s it.  Inside is gorgeous clean.  Lid still fully attached.  Bottom right corner has a slight slick loss, all other corners are fantastic new.

Promo Holes--- Through the box, inners and poster.  This set has NOT been swapped around.

Labels--- NM/ NM.  NM/ NM.  NM/ NM. 

Capitol Inner Sleeves--- EX/ EX/ EX.  They’re all flat, minimal wrinkles.  Some of the side and bottom center seams have small splits.

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeves en route.

Gorgeous and rare.  You’re never going to see one of these again.  Sadly, neither will I!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
