Beatles LP Beatles’ Second Album Apple “All Rights” NEVER PLAYED.
READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
So with that said…
For sale this week are several reissues still in the original shrinkwrap. With the exception of the copy of Revolver on the red Target label, none of these albums have ever been played. These LP’s are completely virgin to a stylus.
In the early 1980’s, I was working at a Sound Odyssey record store, when the Capitol plants liquidated their old stock vinyl. We bought half a truckload of Beatles and solo titles, still in their boxes. I bought as many copies as I could with my tax returns that year.
Since I knew that these were all reissues, I opened all the copies with RIAA numbers of 12 or later. I kept all the label variations that I didn’t have, and kept the rest in storage.
These copies have never been played by me, so they’ve never been played by anyone.
Vinyl--- EX. There are a few manufacturer’s defects on the surface of Side 2.
Plates--- J23/ F20. Hand-etched delta symbol on both sides in the dead wax meant to resemble a rifle makes this copy pressed in Winchester, VA.
Cover--- NM. Beautiful cover with no breaches to the shrinkwrap. VERY light browning along the cover’s mouth is nearly imperceptible, but I mention it because it’s there. Promo hole.
Labels--- NM untouched. “All Rights” and “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” label has the disclaimers in the bottom perimeter print below the Apple graphic, semi-circular on two lines.
Breathe Holes--- On the front cover, there is one near the word, “featuring” and one due south, to the right of Paul’s eyes and nose photo.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Generic white sleeve with die-cut holes for the labels to show. NO SEAM SPLITS.
RIAA: 12.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
