massively rare 1970 UK First pressing Apple stereo BOXSET PXS 1

one of the rarest UK Beatles' releases, this virtually never appears for sale. There are only a few truly rare Beatles original releases, and this is up there with them, rating as rare as a Black & Gold PLEASE PLEASE ME mono, even rarer than a REVOLVER 606-1 or a Yellow Submarine MONO, the delicate and "multiple" nature of this set ensured that few have survived the last 36 years intact, especially in this condition. Realistically, this is, overall, about as nice as you can expect to find.

100% complete, and 100% free from major wear, this is quite a superb example for your collection. The vinyl displays minimal wear and has been extremely well cared for, with merely mega-fine sleeve-removal marks, and playing superbly. Most importantly, this is a 1st pressing vinyl, with rare -2U/-2U matrix numbers. Most copies that you see have -3U matrix numbers, or possibly a combination of -2U/-3U, but so few now have both sides of the vinyl with -2U matrix numbers, especially in this condition. The fully laminated sleeve has the mega-rare red apple sleeve rear and is in fittingly EXCELLENT condition, displaying absolutely no serious wear, no creasing, barely any surface wrinkles (a couple of mega-short wrinkles near spine), no laminate loss, and absolutely nothing beyond very light ringwear.

The GET BACK book is stunning, and so, so rare like this. No creasing, no laminate loss, and, most importantly, no loose, or missing pages, not even a single dog-eared page, and that is so, so rare!! Most copies have been well-thumbed, and with the passage of time the glue has cracked/dried and the pages have loosened. Often the first (black) page is missing, but not in this case. All present and correct, and quite pristine. Few copies have survived like this.

The box outer cover is very respectable indeed. No laminate loss (a couple of laminate "chips to upper edge and a miniscule chip to Paul's beard, but absolutely no serious wear. There is a small amount of laminate wrinkling to upper edge and reverse lower edge (see last photo) but that is really the only point to note. No tears, heavy creasing, nothing to note of major wear. The inner tray is also very respectable, untorn and free from significant wear. A slight amount of rubbing along it's flap edges, but they are untorn and strong. The inner tray, the most fragile part of the complete set is in quite superb condition, as this so often is torn, or even missing. Many were immediately discarded, along with the rest of the box! The perforated edges are undamaged/untorn, there is no creasing and nothing to note beyond slight flattening in appearance, but that is quite incredible for this mega-fragile piece of the boxset!!
