This sale is only for the serious collector who has been wanting to splurge on a set of The Beatles' Japanese Red Vinyl mono albums. This is a complete set of all 10 albums with "The Beatles" having two records. They are all still sealed with minor exceptions: the shrink wrap on "A Hard Day's Night" is open about half way down the side. The shrink wrap on "The Beatles" is open the complete length of the album but it's contents have never been removed.

There were two sets of mono red wax albums issued four years a part. The first set came out in 1982. Toshiba issued a limited edition series of these mono LPs on red vinyl (10,000 copies of each record). They contain the original UK mono mixes and paralleled the UK mono reissue series that had come out in England about that same time. The OBI has a generic red LP on it with the words “the beatles original mono record” on it.
The second set of mono red LPs from Japan came out in 1986 (to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the band’s performance there in ‘66). The OBI on this pressing has the triangular design with The Beatles’ faces and the words “It was 20 years ago” on it.
This set from 1982 is the superior issue and preferred by collectors. It comes from my personal collection which has been maintained in my smoke-free, climate-controlled home. It is exceptionally rare that you find a complete set up for sale in this condition.
