Description
This is a no reserve auction for the following LP vinyl record:

Comments: This is a genuine version 2 copy of this highly counterfeited lp. The tracks lists "Please Please Me" and "Ask Me Why" instead of "Love Me Do" and "PS I Love You". Those last two songs are only on version 1. This copy has the comma after the first "Please" in Please, Please me. This is a more valuable variation than the cover that omits the comma. On the label, this pressing has the "The Beatles" on top with the record title. All counterfeit copies have the lp title and "the Beatles" separated by the spindle hole. This pressing also has the more rare center justified titles. In the dead wax there is a "ARP" stamping. This designates that this record was pressed at the American Record Pressing Company in Owosso, Michigan. Another fact that proves that this is a genuine Vee Jay ppressing is the fact that George's shadow is seen to the right of him on the front cover. Some counterfeit copies do not have the shadow. Now on to the Grading.... the vinyl shows some light sleeve swiping here and there. There are a couple of small marks that can be felt by the fingernail. There are also some small, what appears to be white paint spots scattered across side 2. This record must have been out when someone was doing a paint job at some point. I have play tested the record and these marks do make some low sounding "thump" noises at times. Not all are audible. I am sure with several plays they will eventually work themselves out. The record plays well throughout with no skips or jumps. There is the usual background noise with some moments a llitte heavier than others. This is normal for a VG graded record. I tested the record on a Technics 1200 turntable with counter weight set to zero. The cover has a seam split to bottom seam starting on the right side. The split measures about 3 inches across. Both top seam and spine are fully intact. the top seam shows signs of cracking, but still fully intact. All writing on spine is clearly visible. There is some moderate rub wear to both front and back. There is also a drak stain at the bottom of back cover as seen in photo. Also, a lighter stain at left edge. Any questions feel free to ask.

I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. If you would like more info about a particular title, please ask. I check Ebay often and will try to get back to you promptly.
M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.
NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.
VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or small seam splits.
G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.
P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
