THE BEATLES - 'I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND'/'THIS BOY'


This EXCELLENT UK 1st pressing dates from its initial November 1963 release and is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5084

A genuine red & white EMI 'Factory Sample - Not For Sale' sticker is adhered to the side 1 label

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but have upper case 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'This Boy' label.


Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17559-1N & 7XCE 17560-1N

Stamper codes: 12/GPT & 8/PGG


The disc is housed in its original green & white Parlophone company cover.

Labels: EXCELLENT +

Both are clean & undamaged with just a small collection of well-aimed spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole mainly.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Clean & bright playing surfaces which are free from any surface scuffs or scratches. Closer inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals a few very faint sleeve removal marks but no scratches or any other such wear.

Play: EXCELLENT +

Perfectly clear, clean & unworn sound from BOTH tracks with no traces of any groove/play wear. Even the easily worn 'This Boy' plays without any background interference.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with minor storage wrinkling but no writing, tears or seam splits.
