1969 UK 2nd PRESS *MONO* LP
**ULTRA-RARE PRESSING**
Just a handful of copies were pressed of this LP with this label in late 1969, just before the changeover to the '1 EMI Box' label.
Even fewer survive in this superb condition.
This extremely rare 1969 UK 2nd MONO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in its correct 'thin card', front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper numbers: 9/MDT & 1,8/ATA
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Superb clean & glossy surfaces which bear just a 6 & 2mm light mark on side 1, but absolutely no other faults visible in strong daylight.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy inner-sleeve/paper hairlines but no further marks or wear.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
This barely played copy plays cleanly & clearly throughout, with no background noise or groovewear distortion on any track.
Even the easily and frequently worn inner tracks & 'Yesterday' play without any problems.
Apart from 4 light ticks between tracks 3 & 4 on side 1, there are no further audible faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A bright white, unyellowed & glossy front panel which bears just a few light spine wrinkles but no significant or major wear.
There is a light bruise to the upper left corner but the front opening edge is clean, sharp & unworn.
The rear panel has slight wear to the opening edge but is otherwise clean & white with no discolouration, marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are in all intact & undamaged.
