CONDITION
Record
Labels: 1. NEAR MINT 2. EXCELLENT +
Visual: Side 1: EXCELLENT Side 2: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces on this beautiful copy are in MINT condition when viewed in strong daylight & retain their full deep gloss shines. Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a single, small hairline scratch at the beginning of track 3 on side 1, but nothing further than a healthy 'rainbow' shine and some unavoidable wispy inner-sleeve removal/paper hairlines made the few times this disc has been removed from its cover. Both sides of the thick, heavy vinyl lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Play: Side 1: EXCELLENT Side 2: NEAR MINT
This copy has received less than five careful plays directly after purchase on good quality equipment. Crucially, the outstanding mono mix of 'Yesterday' plays perfectly with no trace of background noise or break-up. Also the frequently worn inner tracks both play without the usual playwear. The only fault I could find was (due to the abovementioned light scratch) a few light ticks at the beginning of 'You've Got To Hide You Love Away'. Both run-ins and all bands between tracks play without fault.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
This outstanding example came from a non-smoking home, is clean, firm and white with no age discolouration/yellowing. The front panel retains a high-gloss laminate with just a single 'thumbnail' creases and a few light indentations. The opening edges on both sides are in perfect & totally unworn condition with no marks or wear. All corners are all clean, square & unbumped. The rear panel is pristine white and apart from a faint crease to the upper right of George's portrait is 'as new' with no discolouration, fingermarks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, both seams & the spine are strong, intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Light storagewear creasing but no splits or tears.
