THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
1969 UK *MONO* PRESSING* LP
This extremely hard to find 2nd MONO pressing dates from mid-late 1969 and is on the final incarnation of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK..' text but stil retain 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
There is no purchase tax code is visible around the centre of either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse ' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A pristine pair with just a single light spindle trail to each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
This well-looked after and barely played copy retains extremely clean & bright surfaces which display just two or three barely visible stylus hairlines on side 2 but side 1 is otherwise unmarked in strong daylight. Some insignificant hairlines consistant with inner-sleeve storage/removal hairlines are visible beneath halogen light but there are no major marks or wear to be seen. Both sides also lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This superb disc has clearly been played no more than once or twice at most and may careful play check at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear or background on any track or in either channel. I heard 5 repeating ticks during 'Help!' and an occasional one in the bands between a few tracks, but certainly nothing major. A real pleasure to hear an unworn copy of this much maligned but still impressive true mono mix.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
A superb example of this easily blemished cover which has been carefully and correctly stored in ideal conditions all its life. The front panel is clean & bright and retains a high-gloss, unscratched laminate bearing only two tiny 'thumbnails' wrinkles towards the opening edge. There is a little wear to the lower part of the front opening edge but all corners are clean & square with no heavy bumps or bruising. The rear panel is extremely white & clean and free form any significant marks or any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are perfectly clean & in-place and both seams and the fully worded spine are all smooth, unstressed and undamaged.

General creasing from long-term storage but no major faults.
