1965 UK *1st MONO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT AUDIO**
This superb 1965 UK 1st MONO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a thick card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper numbers: 4/GHT & 1,8/RGO
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both surfaces are pristine & totally unmarked on both sides in strong direct daylight and retain their full deep gloss shines with no cloudy or dull areas.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines, but no other signs of wear.
100% flat on the turntable on both sides with no signs of dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding copy has received just a few careful plays on good quality equipment and I am pleased to report that all tracks play perfectly.
There are absolutely no traces of any groovewear distortion or background noise anywhere. Even the easily damaged innermost tracks and the delicate 'Yesterday' play perfectly.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and withotu any intereference
You will not be disappointed by the sound on this copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
An outstanding example of this easily worn cover.
Stored in ideal condition throughout its life in a smoke-free environment, it remains clean, strong and most importantly - white, with no age discolouration.
The front panel retains its unscratched, high-gloss laminate with no 'thumbnail' creases to the opening edge or any spine bends whatsoever.
Both opening edges are clean and sharp with just a small 'bump' near Ringo's hand, but no tears to either side.
The rear panel is in perfect condition - pristine white with no age spots, discolouration, marks, wiriting or missing paper.
Apart from a tiny bruise to the lower right, all corners are clean & sharp.
All flipbacks are in-place, clean & undamaged and both seams & the spine are undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Crisp & flat with just minor storagewear & toning, but no splits, tears or writing.
