Description
THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial release in August 1965 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
The side 2 label bears genuine EMI red & white 'Factory Sample - Not For Sale' sticker.
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 7,10/APG & 1,8/ARL
Vinyl weight: 155g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the outlined front mono indicator.
Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean, bright & unblemished pair with just a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are clean, unmarked and unworn in strong daylight but no major scuffs, marks or scratches to be seen. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just some harmless inner-sleeve removal/storage hairlines but little else to suggest than this disc has been outside its cover more than a handful of times.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has clearly not been played very much at all. As a result, the sound throughout my single careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear distortion or background interference. In fact, apart from an occasional light pop in a few of the bands between tracks, there really is very little to fault sound-wise.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A very respectable example of this easily blemished cover which retains a clean & glossy front panel with no 'thumbnails' or spine wrinkles. There is a little bruising to the corners and slight wear to the opening edge, but no tears, splits or major damage. The rear panel is clean & free from any significant marks or wear, let alone any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and the seams and spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD +
Flat & crisp with some moderate age-toning and storage wrinkling, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
