1965 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
Black & yellow Parlophone label - PMC 1255
With 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims on both labels
'KT' tax/price code on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' outlined mono cover.
Complete with original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2

This top class copy has been carefully handled and stored and as a result both surfaces retain their full deep gloss shines and appear to be in MINT condition when viewed in strong daylight. Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals only a a few light inner-sleeve removal marks/hairlines but no scraches of other significant marks to either side. Both sides of the thick, heavy vinyl are 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This copy has received just some careful play on good quality equipment as all tracks play cleanly and clearly with no groovewear distortion or background noise. The outstanding mono mix of 'Yesterday' plays perfectly with no trace of background noise or break-up and the easily worn inner tracks: 'Ticket To Ride' & 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy', both play without any signs of playwear. Both run-ins and all bands play without intereference and there are no clicks, pops or any other traces of wear on this fabulous copy.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
This superb example from a non-smoking home, is clean, firm and white with no age discolouration. The front panel retains a high-gloss laminate with no 'thumbnail' creases or any other signs of wear at all. All corners are clean, square and unbumped. Apart from a few tiny foxing marks on the rear opening edge, both are unworn & undamaged. The rear panel is pristine white with no discolouration, fingermarks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are in perfect condition and both seams & the spine are strong, intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Light storagewear creasing but crisp & white with no splits or tears.
