1968 UK 2nd PRESS *STEREO* LP
**RARE 'OUTLINE' STEREO LOGO COVER**
These 'outline' stereo logo covers were produced in extremely small numbers in 1965
This design appeared during a short transition period between earlier 'mid-sized' logos and later small, solid logos.
This rare UK 2nd STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed the rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the outlined stereo logo.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 3/OL & 2/MA

This rare example is clean & strong bearing just light handling & storagewear and no major signs of wear.
The front panel is clean & glossy with some light edge/spine wrinkles & small 'thumbnail' creases toward the opening edge.
All corners have minor shelfwear & a slight bruise to the upper left, but both opening edges are without any tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is clean with just some handling marks towards the opening edge but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, seams & the spine are all present, unstressed & unsplit.
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean and glossy surfaces with just 2 long hairline scratches to side 1, but no other significant marks or wear.
Side to has a light fingernail mark covering the 1st two tracks & some faint inner-sleeve removal lines but but no other marks.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals some wispy paper hairlines but no other major faults.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS
The sound is clean & clear throughout with no background crackle or groovewear distortion on any tracks.
Apart from a few light clicks in some bands, there is little to fault here.
This disc has been carefully audibly graded in its entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
