This outstanding 1964 UK 1st STEREO pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS. 3058

(note the seldom seen 'dot' protocol after 'PCS')

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rims.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 2 centre hole.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse ' printed 'mid-sized' stereo logo cover.

Complete with its original 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

This copy also comes with its original Parlophone advertising flyer.

A fine set with clean & unblemished text and only a small collection of light spindle trails to the side 1 centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which when viewed in strong daylight display just a few faint inner-sleeve removal marks but certainly no scuffs, marks or scratches of any kind. Close & careful inspection directly beneath halogen desk lamp reveals absolutely nothing more than a healthy sparking rainbow gloss without any further marks or wear anywhere. this 1st-class copy lies 100% flat on the turntable with no traces of dishing or warping either side.

Play: NEAR MINT

Outstanding sound quality throughout this cherished early copy. My careful play-check at volume could find no evidence of any groove/play wear distortion on any track or indeed any background noise/crackle. Both run-ins and all bands play without any trace of interference and there are no clicks, pops, tics or indeed any audible blemishes anywhere. Tough to find a better sounding copy of this pressing.

Cover

EXCELLENT +

A splendid example of this rare cover which retains a bright, clean & undamaged front panel where there is just a hint of storage rubbing but no 'thumbnails' or any other creasing or wear. All corners are clean & free from any heavy bumps or bruising. There are several tiny 'pushes' to the front opening edge but no tears or feathering to either side. The rear panel is extremely clean & white and free from any significant blemishes or wear, let alone any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and in-place and both seams and the fully worded spine are all smooth, unstressed and undamaged.
