THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1966 UK 2nd PRESS *MONO* LP
**ULTRA-RARE LABEL ERROR**
Dating from 1966, the side 2 label mistakenly carries the "Songs From The Film 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'" title above the track listing.
This rare 1966 UK 2nd stereo mispressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
As stated above the side 2 label mistakenly carries the "Songs From The Film 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT' title above the track listing.
(This is the only example I have seen of this rare misprinted label)
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' small stereo logo cover.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 2/OR & 1/AP
No spindle marks to either label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both sides appear in MINT when viewed in strong daylight, with no groove-whitening or dulling to either surface from improper long-term storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few light inner-sleeve removal marks on side 2 but no other wear.
Thick, heavy vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This oustanding sounding disc has been played just twice on top quality equipment only.
Every track, even the innermost two, play perfectly & without any trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults.
(I only grade records which are unplayed as 'MINT')
Cover: EXCELLENT
A bright & clean example with an undamaged front laminate which bears just a few small edgewrinkles and 'thumbnails' towards the opening edge.
There is some bruising to three corners & a touch of light wear to the opening edge but no significant or major damage.
The rear panel is clean & white with no marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are intact & undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
Crisp, white & clean with just a few minor natural strorage creases but no yellowing, splits, tears or writing.
