Description

An interesting and unusual First Capitol Pressing from Mexico featuring a vintage Capitol Label with the logo positioned to the side rather than the top as used on America pressings. Capitol Records had any old, left over stock of these retired labels sent to other countries they had started to press records in around the mid 1960s (Mexico, Jamaica etc.) in order to use them up. This version of Help features one of these curiosities with the condition of this one (along with the vinyl) being NM. Beautiful, shiny and clean that plays new. There are some sleeve “scuffles” (track 1 side 2) that can be seen when tilted just right in the light but these are the common type marks easily found on many brand new pressings, this record is a beauty. It is also interesting that Capitol uses the American soundtrack featuring the “James Bond” intro along with all the other great fill music from the North American release, adds to the uniqueness and appeal of this release I think. The unusual non GF first pressing is in nice shape also. Clean with plenty of gloss on the front cover with some shelf wear-rubs on the back. Not bad. Both top and bottom seems needed to be reinforced as it split almost immediately after being taken from its shrink. It’s done professionally and allows this cover to maintain its integrity without further stress with the spine being unaffected. Please see the provided photos for your condition concerns but I think you’ll be very satisfied with this pressing, it’s a real good example that includes a paste-on front slick as done with American Capitol Pressings from the 60s. Highly underrated Mexico pressings are becoming a bit tougher to find in nice shape and this one is definitely a keeper. Thanks

Selling a big part of my personal collection accrued over 5 decades. Will be listing a few auctions a week. Many very rare BEATLES and related items among other artists. Please check in from time to time and see what Rarities and odd pressing I’ve listed from this extensive collection.

The small print: Unfortunately I’ve been getting winning bidders who have no intention of paying for their won items. I must request that payment be made within 48 hours of the auction ending or at least send a simple and brief note letting me know that your payment will be made when able. I’m very flexible in that regard and I just want to know I have a sincere winner. Thank you for your understanding.
