THE BEATLES - HELP!
Gorgeous, barely played 1965 UK 1st press Beatles gem with exquisite original flipback outer and flawless MONO sound quality throughout Label number : PMC 1255 Matrix numbers : XEX 549 - 2, XEX 550 - 2 Stampers : 6 AA L / 5 AG P
The condition of the vinyl is near mint (NM) - the weighty vinyl has retained it's original gorgeous jet black sheen and remains completely flat. Even with close inspection under a bright light I am unable to detect any marks at all, not even the usual wispy hairline or faint paper scuff - truly remarkable for a Beatles record of this age. Again, near mint (NM) condition labels - flawless with not even the hint of a single rogue spindle trail. The "K" and "T" tax codes, synonymous with 1st pressings, are lightly embossed upon the side 2 label. Clearly this is a record that has been barely played (just 2 or 3 times in my estimation) and meticulously cared for. Near mint (NM) condition original 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse front-side laminated flipback outer sleeve with firm and unscuffed edges, firm spine with all spine text fully intact, perfectly defined right angle corners with no rubbing at all, firm opening edges with no fraying, all flipbacks in great order still, no laminate lift, no laminate "crinkling" or cardboard creasing, and all art work, colours, photos and sleeve text remaining in wonderfully crisp condition with perfect definition still. Do take a good look at my photos...it really is hard to believe that this sleeve is now 61 years of age! Wonderful, near mint (NM) MONO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, distortion or even hint of any background crackle - amazing! You may come across just one or two very, very light static clicks but no more than you would expect when playing a brand new record for the very first time. Great tone and clarity throughout with every track remaining a terrific listen. Comes with original "USE EMITEX" die-cut poly-lined inner sleeve with "MADE IN ENGLAND" horizontal text, with no splits or tears, barely any age discolouration, jus ta couple of very small and very minor crease marks and remaining in great condition. Note that I always insert the vinyl into a poly-lined plain white sleeve in order to protect the original.
Try getting hold of a better condition copy of this UK 1965 very first press Beatles gem - my guess is that you will be looking for a long time!
POSTAGE COSTS : For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery"); for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked; and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me. A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 56 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
