1964 UK 1st PRESS *STEREO* LP
**FINE EARLY COPY**
This superb 1964 UK 1st stereo pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold stereo cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GP & 2/GH
Some light spindle trails but no other marks or wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both sides appear totally unmarked when viewed in strong daylight, with no groove-whitening or any marks whatsoever to either surface.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some light inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no scratches or any other wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Without doubt the best sounding of their early stereo releases, this oustanding sounding disc has recieved just careful play on top quality equipment.
All songs play 'as new' - cleanly, clearly and without any trace of background noise or groovewear distortion.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Made from thicker card stock, this example is extremely clean and strong and displays no significant or major wear anywhere.
The front leaf is flat and glossy with just a small bend to the upper right corner of the front leaf & a few tiny spine wrinkles.
The inside is clean & black where it should be with pristine flipbacks and an unsplit hinge.
The rear panel is clean & glossy with no disc impression, creasing or further wear.
The spine is bright white & square and retains its factory 'pinching' at both ends.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Light storagewear only with no tears or splits.
