   Hello everyone. This is the second of my 2nd state Butcher Cover from my collection T-2553 (mono) RIAA #6:

        This is one of the MOST sought after collectible covers in the world! A lot of collectors try to either successfully or unsuccessfully peel the pasteover. This was not attempted at all! I repeat it is UNmolested!!  The unpeeled versions that are left are either ripped, written on (as everybody wrote their name on it or something else) or have split seams. At any rate, these are becoming MORE collectable than the 1st state! This has NO split seams, no freying of the corners and no writing. (There are 2 fingernail size pen marks underneath the cellphane and 3 on top.) Please let me explain here: I bought this from a collector who didnt know much about "leaving the shrink wrap ON".  I was talking to them at the time I was to buy it, not realizing it was the actuall lp I wanted. I noticed that they made an attempt to take off the shrink with a pen.  My heart sunk and so did my interest. AFTER carefully inspecting this in the natural daylight and lightbulb and gently and gingerly moving the shrink around it, I noticed there is NO damage to the cover. Just a couple ink marks as mentioned in that area only. The shrink wrap is the same but obviously has a fingernail size tear when the numbnuts used the pen to tear it off in an attempt to try and open it that way. The shrink has some MINOR tears: 2 at the top, 1 at the bottom, and 1 on the front cover.  A closeup picture of Ringos white collar can be seen...and even the bottom part of the white coat if you look close enough! The RIAA # is 6...a  West Coast pressing; I believe from California to narrow it down even further. I did extensive research and found that 4 single lps (2nd state) Butchers that sold in the past 3 years sold for; $2,000.00 each -with NO cellophane and was sold in 2004, another one, the same, one in cellophane with no price tag for $2,900.00 (and change) in 2005, $2,500 -NO cellophane in 2006. (a 5th one for in excess of $4000.00 I did not personally confirm) So here we are....a year and a half later...   (I sold the one I just had listed elsewhere, this is a different one, not a relist.)

Check the last picture. There is one imperfection with the spine as shown. About 1/2 inch or less.

NO RINGWEAR TO EITHER SIDE OF COVER!!! NONE, ZIP, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO!!

This is very important, provided that the real value IS in the cover!!

*BOTH the --MONO-- and --STEREO--versions have sold around $3,000.00 and are shown above.  I have also seen one with partial split seams sell for as high as 2 grand!!

Grading:

Cover: NO cutouts, cellophane in tact, RIAA #6,  STRONG-   VG++ to a M-, no folds or dogeared corners, etc. COVER IS ABOUT 1/8 - to 3/16 of an inch NARROWER THAN THE LATER PRESSED COVERS, proving that this baby is the ONE!   

Inner sleeve; M-/M ,no rips -orig gold Capitol sleeve

Vinyl: Vg+/Vg++, label M-, plays crystal clear  (surface blems only) THICK & heavy vinyl disc!!

 Comes with plastic outer cover for (LP cover) and a seperate plastic cover for vinyl & inner sleeve.  Vinyl is seperate from cover to prevent ringwear. OH yeah, no ringwear to front cover like some usually have. Cover is FLAT! E-mail me for all the pictures you want, this stipulates that ALL sales final-NO exceptions... so please ASK before bidding/buying!!  (this is to prevent switcharoos & buyers remorse, deadbeats, etc.) I MAY work on a payment plan with you.

I GAVE away my last one in the 2 thousand dollar range. This will be the last one (of 2) I am selling. 

In ANY case you 'cannot' fufill your end of the bargain...with a pre-agreed payment plan, I will not refund any partial payments-NO exceptions!!

Record grading guided by Goldmine (graded in light):

MINT: No scuffs, scratches, blotches, stains, labels, writing, tears or splits. Simply perfect.
NEAR MINT (NM): A Record that may have one or two tiny, minor flaws such as light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of the sleeves that do not affect play.
EXCELLENT (EX or VG+): A Record has been handled and played either very little or very carefully. The vinyl may have lost some but not all of it's original luster or have a slight scratch that doesn't affect play.
VERY GOOD (VG): A Record that displays visible signs of handling and playing such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. A VG record may look like it will have some audible surface noise when it is played, although any noise should not overwhelm the music or ruin the listening experience.
GOOD (G): The Record is well played, with any number of defects such as complete loss of surface sheen, obvious surface noise, etc.
