The BEATLES. BROADCASTS! Wow. Way before Anthology in ‘95, and a decade before the official first brown cover “Live at the BBC” double LP release, there was this fantastic LP of 18 BEATLES BBC tracks. So official looking it might as well be official. Kind of a precursor to that LP that first became the 2 LP BBC set in 1994, then was upgraded and reissued as 2 more BBC sets in 2013. From Circuit Records with labels by BBC Transcription Service. Both are names of great quality in the bootleg business. So excellent they seem authentic. Vinyl condition is Goldmine EX, labels EX. Just VG+ sleeve because of stickers on the back side, showing dates of broadcast of the songs in 1963-64. By the 80s LPs we’re still the primary way to sell all Beatles recordings and those with access to BBC or Abbey Road tapes realized the value of any Beatles Recording. Preserve everything, don’t destroy anything, clean them up, sort them, compile them, release them in any semi-organized way anyone could think of and, presto, another million selling album. Then mix them up and do it again!! Anyways, like true art, they’re great no matter which way you see/hear them! Several incredible tracks on this LP: Carol and Lend me your comb, and the superb Soldier of love, and the incomparable CLARABELLA, with many other tracks without audience noise. The best of the Beatles in one take, BBC studio cuts made for radio broadcast and thankfully preserved. Plus more! This vinyl is lightly played and shiny.
