Description
Here is the Humblebums "Shoeshine Boy" recorded on a metal acetate on the Beatles Apple Label. The single is one sided. The top of the label states "Apple Corps Ltd. 3 Savile Row London W1". The bottom of the label states "Custom Recording"
The Humblebums were Billy Connolly, Gerry Rafferty and Tommy Harvey. The single "Shoeshine Boy" is credited to Gerry Rafferty was released in 1970 so this acetate must date from around then.
The record plays very well so I grade it between very good and excellent.

The buyer of this record can be asured by me that this is not a fake. I have owned this record for at least 20 years, it was found in a second hand record shop in Croydon - not Beanos - I cannot now remember the name of the shop but I doubt if it is still there. Anyway, I do remember the owner of the shop saying "nice find" when I paid for it. I don't know how other artists, appearing to be unrelated to the Beatles, managed to get their records made with the Apple label, I guess people just went in and used the equipment in the days when the doors at 3 Savile Row were allways open.
