UK 1967 PRESSING 45

This rarely seen variant is a 1967 UK pressed 45 on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5620

As you can see, both labels have a more condensed text layout than that on most labels.

The 'A' side includes the 'Recorded during 'Live' World Television Transmission' text.

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK.. text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rim texts.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.

Housed in a rare full colour sleeve advertising other EMI albums, including The Beatles 'A Collection of Oldies' LP.

Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18425-2 & 7XCE 18426-2

Stamper codes: 1/GAP & 6/GPH

A superb clean & unworn set with just a trace of wear to the side 2 centre hole only.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Pristine playing surfaces which are totally unmarked and 'as new' when viewed in strong daylight with just some harmless wispy paper hairlines visible beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.

Play: EXCELLENT

This well-looked after copy has recieved just some careful attention from excellent equipment and my careful playcheck uncovered no significant deterioration to the sound quality on either side or any major faults. Worth it just for the superior mono version of 'Baby, You're a Rich Man' with is stupendous bass response.
