SUPER SCARCE UK FIRST ISSUE **WITHOUT** REFERENCE TO ‘LIVE WORLD TELEVISION TRANSMISSION’, RARE FACTORY SAMPLE, PURCHASED FROM A RETIRED EMI EXECUTIVE, AN IMPRESSIVE EXAMPLE!!
A Detailed Description of this RARE FACTORY SAMPLE 1st Issue:
Released by Parlophone UK in 1967, this is the FIRST PRESSING of The Beatles No 1 Hit, ‘All You Need Is Love/Baby You’re A Rich Man’. The Vinyl 45 is on the Custom Black & Silver Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ printed on both sides of the record label.
This GENUINE Factory Sample, **OMITS** the wording ‘LIVE WORLD TELEVISION TRANSMISSION’, confirming it to be a very first pressing. All subsequent UK pressings of All You Need is Love, included reference to Live World Television.
Adding to the Rarity, and enhancing the investment potential, this is an Official FACTORY SAMPLE with the correct White pointed end Sticker on side 1 with red print, reading ‘FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE’. These RARE Factory Samples were used for Quality testing as well as for Promotional Purposes and this example was purchased from a Retired EMI Executive.
The 45 is housed in its ORIGINAL, Type 6, Green Company Parlophone Sleeve.
Official Dead Wax Matrix and stamper information:
The side 1 stamped matrix is 7XCE 18425-2/Side 2: 7XCE 18426-1. Side 1 stampers are: ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘G’/Side 2 stampers: ‘KT1’, ‘A’. In addition, the embossed ‘KT’ tax code is visible on the side 1 record label.
Both record labels are in SUPERB near mint condition, a FINE, UNDAMAGED Set of Record labels, showing just a couple of very faint spider lines. Both sides of the Vinyl disc are in IMPRESSIVE excellent plus condition, very bright vinyl, showing only a few extremely light surface lines, but certainly no scuffs or digs. The Original parlophone Bag is in great shape, with just a little inevitable light creasing and a small ½" tear to the die cut on the reverse of the sleeve.
Play Quality:
Both sides play well with NO skips or Jumps, or clicks with just some background crackle evident to both tracks.
