Description:
A complete set of The Beatles - The Beatles (The White Album) in all its original mono glory, housed in an very low 4-digit No.0008786 numbered and very collectable 1st press top-loading sleeve. This set is a real treasure for collectors and listeners alike due to its standout condition and 4-digit low number.
Key Features:
- Matrix numbers: -1-1-1-1: Side 1: XEX 709-1; Side 2: XEX 710-1; Side 3: XEX 711-1; Side 4: XEX 712-1. (-1 matrix endings on all sides)
- Labels: The labels are printed with a dark green and 'Sold In U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists' text is printed at the top. and feature the in error of omitting the text 'An E.M.I. Recording' on the label that was swiftly corrected. Have the credits "Production by GEORGE MARTIN" and "Orchestrations by GEORGE MARTIN" below the group's name.
- Sleeve: The stamped seven-digit number appears in grey on a slight downward angle towards the lower right corner. Later issues featured went down to a six-digit format.
- Low Number: Highly collectable low numbered #8986 sleeve makes this a sought-after collectors item.

Disc One: EXCELLENT!
The record has glossy and clean playing surfaces with light signs of use when viewed in good natural daylight and only sleeve-removal type hairlines when viewed under focused halogen spotlight. The disc sits completely flat on the turntable. The labels are clear of writing and wear at the spindle hole. EXCELLENT.

Disc One: EXCELLENT!
The record plays through without issue. Occasional light crackle between tracks/quiet passages, obviously no skips or sticks. A fantastic mono listening experience with great channel separation, centre-front vocals and punchy bass. EXCELLENT.

Sleeve: EXCELLENT!
The sleeve is glossy and clean. The front and back retain their original glossy sheen with no sign of ring wear. The spine is fully readable with one or two light spots of wear. The low number still retains its original print contrast. the inside is glossy and clean. No writing or stains throughout. Overall it is a superb condition example made even more powerful by the very low sleeve number.
