VINYL: VG

Retains a fair amount of original gloss with visible ghosting, light hairline marks, superficial scuffs, and minor surface wear under direct light. There are some areas where the grooves show slight visual changes in reflection, but no severe groove damage was observed during playback.

Play-tested in full from start to finish. The record plays through very well without skips, jumps, or lock-ups.

This is a well-played vintage copy with consistent background surface noise throughout playback, including light crackle and occasional pops that are most noticeable during quieter passages and between tracks. Some isolated ticks and pops are present throughout, including a few more noticeable clicks/thumps during certain sections, but they do not overpower the music. A white speck was observed to be stuck onto the grooves of “I Feel Fine”, but this doesn’t seem to cause any major interference with the music.

No major groove wear distortion was heard during playback. The record retains strong bass, clear vocals, and the punchy dynamics expected from an original mono Beatles pressing. Some inner groove distortion is noticeable near the end of the side, but remains mild and does not prevent enjoyment of the record.

COVER: VG+

Original mono jacket with T-2228 catalog number. A gorgeous looking cover with extremely faint ring wear. The artwork remains clean and legible with no structural damage. The back is clean as well, with just a few minor markings and a stain around the bottom center. There are also just a few small corner dinks, but cover remains presentable.

This copy features a “RADIO STATION COPY” rubber stamp on the front and back cover, as well as on both record labels. The stamp does not interfere with playback and does not extend into the playable grooves.

⸻

NOTE: Record does not include the original Capitol paper inner sleeve. Comes housed in a newer replacement paper inner sleeve from original owner. This is an original 1964 mono pressing of Beatles ’65 with unique radio station history. The record was previously used as a radio station copy and retains the stamp marks from its time in use.
