Four Beatles albums packed with unreleased recordings from the Fab Four’s legendary sessions for “Let It Be”, popularly known as the “Get Back Sessions.”
1. The 3-LP “Black Album” parodies the Beatles’ iconic “White Album”, right down to the group’s name embossed on the cover. Listen to more than an hour of the Beatles running through many songs, old and new, during filming of “Let It Be”. The records look brand new; the cover has seen better days and is rough around the edges and bumped on the corners. The poster issued with this LP is missing.
2. “Behind Closed Doors” is a 2-LP set with more of the same; rehearsals and (reportedly) an early rough cut at the “Let It Be” album prior to Phil Spector’s production of the final product. Records look brand new; cover shows signs of age, discoloration, and there is a large split that runs along the bottom seam.
3. “Get Back: With Let It Be and 11 Other Songs” – billed as the original version of the “Let It Be” album, under the “Get Back” title. Whether or not it is, it’s an amazing LP and listening experience. The record and jacket are brand new; record looks like it has never been played. Includes large insert with Mal Evans original draft liner notes for the LP.
4. “Get Back: With Don’t Let Me Down and 9 Other songs.” Yet another “lost” version of the “Let It Be” album, again under the “Get Back” title, and equally worth the listening. Record and jacket are brand new! Record looks like it has never been played and there is no damage to the cover.
This is a real treasure trove of music from the Beatles’ much-discussed sessions for “Let It Be” and catches them at one of the lowest moments in their career, yet their creativity and songwriting craftsmanship shine through.
