Description

For auction today is The Beatles Yesterday & Today Album on the Capitol label, Stereo edition ST2553.  It is a West Coast No. 5.  (Same album currently selling on eil.com for £1995 GBP.)

Condition

Cover; A 2nd state paste over in NM condition.  There is no evidence of an attempt to peel off the cover, the spine is in tact, the front and back surfaces are in tact.  I would grade this as NM.

Sleeve: This is the original advertising inner sleeve with the current other recordings on the Capitol label as adverts.  The condition of the inner sleeve is EX, there are no tears or pen marks or writing.  There is a very minor crease in the top left hand corner, but apart from that it is perfect.  I would grade this as EX++.

Labels: Both labels are unmarked and in tact.  The text is clear and undamaged.  One minor spindle mark on side 2.  I would grade these as NM.

Vinyl: Retains its full and strong lustre.  No warping or damage to the edge.  It is true and flat.  In fact it is almost perfect, apart from one scuff mark on track 2, side 2.  I would grade the vinyl as EX++/NM.

Overall: I would grade this album as EX++/NM.  It is a truly beautiful example of a much sort after album and a very exciting addition to your Beatles collection.
