Description

Up for auction is a genuine 2nd state THE BEATLES YESTERDAY and TODAY BUTCHER COVER in STEREO on CAPITOL ST 2553 from 1966. There is no RIAA number. This STEREO version is extremely rare. This is a recent amazing NW thrift store find! You can see Ringo's V-Neck so very blatantly clear coming through in the right lower corner. Unfortunately my camera flash can not capture this. The paster over Yesterday and Today's trunk cover is slightly angled and it actually reveals the original butcher cover more than halfway down the top of the front cover. In researching this item, I have read that most butcher covers have an RIAA number on the back of the cover in the lower right corner. This copy has no RIAA number. Any information as where this butcher cover was manufactured would bemost helpful.

Cover is graded as follows, front cover has been lifted about an 1" on the top right side to expose the butcher cover under the trunk cover. Bottom left corner has also been lifted about an 1/4 to 1/2 inch. There's a little wear on the bottom of the front cover. Back cover is slightly yellowed in color. Two spots on the back cover have what appears to be red paint, on eis about 3/16" in size, the other is about an 1" long near spine. There is a 1" to two 1/2" split seam on bottom of the cover, 2" worn bottom on spine. Top seam is slightly worn. Overall the cover is in VERY GOOD condition.

LP is graded VERY GOOD and comes with original orange Capitol inner sleeve. This is a great copy of the rare STEREO 2nd State!
