Beatles 2-LP Alpha Omega Vol. 1 First Press Error Title Mail Order ONLY 1972
(Many collectors are aware of the 4-LP boxed set on offer by mail-order only back in 1972. But not as many are aware that this set was also originally offered as two double LP’s, and not for very long. The double LP’s were discontinued, maybe to avoid the confusion of a second 4-LP boxed set also called Vol. 2 going on sale. Both double LP’s are for sale this week, and each have errors only found on the first run labels.)
Vinyl--- NM, all four sides. Maybe a stray hairline under a bare bulb if you scrutinize.
Plates--- ATRBH- 1,2,3 and 4
Cover--- Good. Structurally solid, has a few dings and creases. Moderate ringwear, dirtwear to both sides.
Labels--- Side 2 label has some dirt, the rest are NM. Side 2 also has the error that was only on first-run labels.
The first track, “Can’t Buy Me Love” is listed as “I Can’t Buy Me Love.” This was corrected on subsequent issues. So far as I’ve been able to determine, this error had only occurred on the Calamine lotion/Spam-colored labels. All other issues seem to be correct.
Inner Sleeves--- Generic white ones.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
