READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles 2LP 1975 White Album Scrolling “All Rights” Variation Complete and NM!

While the variation with the disclaimer at the bottoms of the labels on two lines is the hardest to find for the “All Rights Reserved” variation, this one is the second-hardest to find.  And it will keep you awake, trying to find one of these.  There simply were not many copies pressed to go around to serious collectors for either variation.

By October 1975, Apple was transitioning to revert back to the orange Capitol label for the entire catalogue.  That said, both variations mentioned were out of the Jacksonville plant, so their numbers were divided. 

I have seen just 3 copies of the Scrolling “All Rights” variation, and only one copy of the two lines at the bottoms of the labels since 1975, when I started collecting.

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  NM/NM.  All four sides look close to being unplayed.  Just a very slight dulling of the grooves.

Plates--- J54/J44. J52/J42.  Letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- VG+.  Structurally solid cover. 

This is the transitional cover from Apple to Capitol at the tail-end of 1975 or very beginning of 1976. 

The lettering of “The BEATLES” on the front cover is very dark grey with thicker text, and the inside gatefold left panel reads “Capitol Records” instead of Apple Records.  By early 1976, the lettering of “The BEATLES” on the front cover is decidedly light grey with thinner text while retaining the “Capitol Records” text inside the gatefold.  See Compere Photos.

Cover has light to moderate browning around the edges on both sides.  Light to moderate dirtwear on front and back, light record outdent as well.  Top and bottom seams have light shelfwear.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Gatefold--- VG+.  About the same as the front and back covers.  The four black and white shots are refreshed, and the detail is clearer.  Later covers have faded photos by the end of 1976.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- EX/EX.  EX/EX.  Of the three copies I’ve seen, all of the Side 1 and Side 2 labels lack the “Record 1” disclaimer.  Just one or maybe two very light, very short spindle marks are present on each label very near the playhole.

Poster--- NM.  Poster has the flat surface, no gloss.  NO FINGER DIVOTS, NO SPLITS AT THE INTERSECTIONS.

Photos--- EX/EX. EX/EX.  The four photos are fortunately remainders from the previous 1971-1975 pressing, meaning that the card stock is still thick and full glossy.  1976-1978 photos were pretty much as thin as paper, and then from late 1978 onward, Capitol issued those awful perforated sheet photos.

Bottom left corners read, “Printed in U.S.A.” as opposed to including “Apple Records.”

Each photo has no finger divots at all, but they all do have light scratches in their glossy surfaces.  George and Paul both have light creases.

Apple Inner Sleeves--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeves with die-cut holes for the labels to show are present.  Sleeves’ conditions are nearly identical.  The corners have the same creases from improper insertion at the factory.  Both sleeves have yellowed to the same degree.  One sleeve though, has the number 311 written in pencil in the top corner.  Whatever that means.  NO SEAM SPLITS ON EITHER. 

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Apple inner sleeve en route.

**This truly is a resplendent copy of this VERY hard-to-find Scrolling “All Rights” variation.  If you are lucky enough to find another copy, it’s not going to have vinyl in this condition, I can assure you.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
