Description
Getting married this September and not having enough money to put down as a deposit on a house has led me to do the most painful thing ever....
I feel I have to start raiding my Beatles Collection which I have been collecting for the last 18 years since I worked as a 13 year old in a second hand record shop.
During July and August most days I will be putting on a handful of items from my collection and asking you to put bids on. I won't be enjoying this one bit!! Once I get the amount i think I need I will stop - but do keep an eye on me as a seller as I have many rare, unusual collectable Beatles and other pop / rock memorabilia from around the world - many of the items are autographed or limited editions / unique.
If they sell then brilliant and congratulations. If they don't (for instance no one meets the asking price) that's good also as I don't particularly want to see a lot of this stuff go. Too much emotional attachments!!!

The 1963 Fan Club Flexi was the first of its kind from the Beatles and something they maintained through to the end for their legion of fans up until the Fab 4 break up in 1970.
This particular recording consists of the four Beatles sitting in Abbey Road during a break in recording and breifly recording their Christmas wishes to their growing numbers of fans. Each Beatle has a special message for the fans as well as various songs. the whole recording captures the fun of the early Beatles and the magic that was to reach the music world in the future.
This is a real collectors item for Beatles nutters and on this occasion is a very good example. There are slight signs of rust around the staples as you open the gatefold sleeve - other than that the cover and the flexi disc are immaculate!!
Mint to excellent condition. An absolute gem and one I don't really want to see go unless to a true collector who will maintain its value.
Have a good look and if you're interested have a go at bidding. It's a ridiculously low starting price as it must go to aid my future wellbeing!!! If no-one wants it hey I get to keep it - which I've had since it came into the record shop I used to work in many moons ago...

During the eight years that the Beatles were topping the charts around the world, the UK Fan Club issued an exclusive Beatles record to each of its paid-up members.
The first of these was sent out in 1963 - a single-sided flexi-disc which played at 33 1/3 rpm and included five minutes of "thank you's" and Christmas greetings from John, Paul, George and Ringo. The messages had been recorded during an Abbey Road session on October 23rd 1963 - that same day they recorded their new single, I Want To Hold Your Hand and it's B-side, This Boy, using Abbey Road's "new" four-track machine, the songs that would eventually break them into the US market! The flexi came originally in a gatefold sleeve with a fan club newsletter printed inside. The back cover featured two recent photos of the band: one at Fan Club HQ with secretaries, Bettina Rose and Anne Collingham, plus a photo of the boys meeting the Queen Mum at the Royal Variety performance that had taken place on November 4th. Presumably, news of this free and exclusive flexi-disc had spread, as the Official Fan Club was swamped with thousands of new applications during December. To meet demand, a further pressing was ordered and this was posted to all new members in February '64 with the current newsletter but without the picture sleeve! In total, 30,000 copies were pressed. Mint condition flexis of THE BEATLES' CHRISTMAS RECORD from December 1963 in the gatefold sleeve now sell for in excess of £200.
