THIS SET IS TRULY MUSEUM GRADE FOLKS!
I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY THAT A 62 YEAR-OLD PAPER MAILER AND FLEXI COULD BE MINT, BUT THIS ONE WAS STORED FOR YEARS IN ITS ORIGINAL MAILING ENVELOPE, WHICH HAS KEPT IT PERFECTLY PRESERVED.
THIS IS FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION.
I’M A “CONDITION NUT”, AND IN ALMOST 50 YEARS OF COLLECTING HAVE NEVER SEEN A BETTER COPY FOR SALE.
I PURCHASED THIS FROM A COLLECTOR IN BRITAIN OVER 30 YEARS AGO
IN FACT, I PAID A LOT MORE MONEY FOR IT THAN THE OPENING BID.
THIS EXAMPLE MUST BE ONE OF THE FINEST, IF NOT THE FINEST REMAINING EXAMPLES
IN THE WORLD.

LOOK LIKE JUNK PLACEHOLDERS.

SLEEVE CONDITION:
MINT
Perfectly flat with sharp corners. No bends. No wrinkles. No tears. No writing. No tape. No marks. Even the staples still look like new.
DISC:
MINT-
Appears to be unplayed. No scratches, marks, or bends. The plastic is very shiny with lots of luster. The only thing that keeps it from being mint is a hint of “clouding” which is common for flexi-discs, but doesn’t detract from the disc overall looking fantastic.
LABEL:
MINT
Flawless. Nice and white. Zero marks. Even the center hole is perfect. Crisp and sharp. No tears or spindle marks.
MAILING ENVELOPE:
NM+
The original mailing envelope, which is rare to find for a 1963 copy, is in remarkable condition. Nice and flat, with three side seams still perfectly intact. Even the adhesive side seal is still intact. There’s slight nick on the front, and obviously a tear on the top seam where it was opened. It seems likely that the original owner carefully opened it at the top with a letter opener. One more cool thing about it: the postmark is dated “London - December 24, 1963” Christmas Eve!

That may seem like a lot for a lightweight flexi, but as a serious collector for decades, I know how to ship items so they arrive safely. But this stellar rarity will be packed with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap, encased in a resealable sleeve, and then again in a 4mil Mylar Sleeve, and additional 45rpm-sized heavy cardboard inserts protecting the disc and mailer. If this bothers you, don’t bid.
