Front Cover
Excellent condition including sticker. Fully laminated. Extremely minor ringwear and extremely light edge creasing. Looks great!

Rear Cover
As front. Excellent condition all round.

Spine
Fully intact with no splits or creases. All text clearly visible.

Gatefold
The white areas have some light ‘foxing’ and light discolouration. That is the only flaw I can see.

Inner Sleeve / Inserts
Correct inners with PCS 7171/7172. Very light ringwear.
Record 1 inner has a tiny scuff at the bottom.
Record 2 inner has a tiny nick about 2 mm in the open edge and a small nick at the top right.

DISCS

Side 1
Vinyl is barely marked. Label is absolutely clean and unmarked! I can see no spindle marks.

Side2
As side 1 – both vinyl and label are excellent!

Side 3
Visually excellent with only a few tiny scuff marks at the rim; label is excellent. I can see no spindle marks again.

Side 4
Visually excellent vinyl once again. Label has a tiny bit of almost invisible spindle wear.

So there you have it, a comprehensive and honest (hopefully) description of an all-round nice item. There’s nothing to hide!

A lot of coloured-vinyl releases from the 1970s had inherent sound problems, even when brand new. They were more of a novelty to drive up sales for the record companies than attempts at obtaining the best sound reproduction that contemporary technology could provide. And let’s not even get into the sound quality of picture discs from the time! OK, that's me rant over.

I have play tested this today (22 March 2012). There is no sticking, jumping or any other issues. The sound quality is excellent, with only extremely light 'crackle' between a few tracks and on the run-ins on each side. Even quiet tracks like ‘Yesterday’ and ‘And I love Her’ have almost no background noise. And it was turned up LOUD, because I have hearing in only one ear...

I sell vinyl as a collector to collectors, mainly. Records are cultural, artistic and historical artefacts (probably). If you want a copy that plays 'impeccably' with pristine sound reproduction I suggest you listen via CD or buy a newly-pressed LP (and that's no guarantee either). Or you could maybe ‘download’ it. Ones and zeroes with no tangible existence…now that is true philistinism!
