Description
Here is a fun, mid-20th Century 24 album set entitled, “Basic Library of the World’s Greatest Music.” From what I can gather, consumers signed up to receive 1 album per week for 24 weeks, for a total of 24 albums. Each album comes in a beautifully decorated green and gold hard cardboard case. Inside is an Index, listing all of the different music in the set by composer, as well as a “Listener’s Guide” to each album. What is especially nice is that the guides are affixed to the record sleeves so it is not easy to lose them.
This COMPLETE SET has all of the components as issued in 1958 AND, from what I can tell, the overwhelming majority of the albums seem to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Many look as though they have never been played! (I do not have a record player so I am not 100% certain about the condition but looking over each one, they mostly seem to be excellent.)
Additionally, the overwhelming majority of the cases and materials inside are also in EXCELLENT CONDITION! Album 21 case does have a slight tear (zest photos) and a couple of other cases have some minimal wear, but most are excellent.
