Rare 10-inch shellac record: BABE & LOU (THE HOME RUN TWINS) - Part 1/Part 2, personally recorded by BABE RUTH and LOU GEHRIG - their actual voices - Perfect 12382, color shellac. Released in 1927.

CONDITION is V++ (very clean, except for a tiny 1/16" mark to middle of the A-side that I can feel, and some soft surface scuffs, it would be EX; minimal label marks).

A NOTE ON SHIPPING SHELLAC RECORDS: I use the floating method, with the record sandwiched between strong pieces of cardboard with corrugate in opposite directions, then placed inside a larger sturdy box with packing material all around inside to prevent any movement (either peanuts, large-bubble wrap, or crumpled paper). Sometimes if I have old 10" LP jackets I don't need, I will put your record in it before sandwiching; otherwise will be in a paper sleeve. I will also always insure these with the USPS. Due to the extra time, materials, insurance, and overall high level of stress associated with shipping these safely (YOU know!), I am asking $6.00 for Media Mail shipping ($4 is actual shipping cost). I think it is reasonable, and I get the feeling that most collectors who buy these online are happy to pay a little extra for the added assurance.
