ALBUM SIGNIFICANCE
A rare full-length solo piano statement from a pianist better known as bebop's most devoted keeper of the flame — Harris would go on to mentor generations of jazz musicians in New York for decades. Recorded in July 1961 and produced by Orrin Keepnews with liner notes by Ira Gitler, this original mono pressing (RLP 392) captures Harris unaccompanied, a format he rarely committed to record.
All albums are professionally cleaned and shipped with a new inner sleeve and protective outer jacket to ensure long-term preservation.
