Description

Original deep-groove 10" LP pressing of Baby Dodds "Talking and Drum Solos" on Folkways FP30. The record appears to be unused throughout, with an amazingly high luster and an immaculate playing surface. The textured blue cover has a blank back and a black and white slick on the front; just slight rubbing on the seams at the opening. There is also a three-panel 5 ½" x 5 ½" insert with comments about the recording and a transcription of Dodds' discussion. This is one of the earliest narrative recordings and an essential piece of jazz history.
