Rare and obscure UK oddity from a little known yet cult group from West London. No relation to Geoff Appleby's Buzz band. Desirable, for the junkshop glam of "Motorway Madness" an unusual English pop cum teenager appealing, bubblegum rocker. Simple, catchy rhythms with wonky synth hook, pub rock guitars and easy-on-the-ears vocal chorus. Clever use of studio sound fx with early morning tweeting birds, speeding car engines and screeching tires for extra ambience. The overall vibe is clearly influenced by co-writer, Pip Williams (a producer behind Status Quo and The Moody Blues). Others prefer the more accomplished "Love Games" that has an edgy power pop feel. Shades of Bachman Turner Overdrive in places too. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. Seldom comes up for sale!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (actually better) with some faint hairlines and light scuffs from storage / a few tiny pressing marks and some faded old residue from the original pressing process / disc cut loud with big production sound / some light natural background noisesSLEEVE - not graded - original UK Polydor company sleeve has general wear / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive stickers and pen notation, front and back
LABEL - archive pen notation to both sides and some rub marks to the plastic label area / some natural age discoloration / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
