Description
Never Turn Your Back on a Friend is Budgie's third album, released in 1973. This particular copy is beautiful. Notice how clean labels are at the spindle holes. The surface still has its new sheen despite being 40 years old. Make no mistake, it is a really excellent. I've done my best to photograph the light, inaudible, scratch and it appears worse than it actually it. On side one, there is a scratch near the beginning of the dead wax that I've tried to photograph but it is too small. I've included it anyway in the interest of full disclosure.
The cover is excellent and I've included a picture of the spine. I''ve also shown the front and back to show there is no serious rubbing or ring wear.
This is the band's best known album and is notable for its inclusion of "Breadfan", the band's best-known song. Metallica recorded a cover version of "Breadfan" in 1988.
The album cover was done by Roger Dean, who has done much of the album artwork for progressive rock band Yes.
