Description

For auction is BUDDY KNOX' self-titled record on Roulette R-25003, MONO, 1957.

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. It sounded great, with only the scarcest traces of occasional background noise. These are minor, i.e., they don't detract from the music or listenability of the record. Very enjoyable by all means!

According to Discogs, this original MONO release is identified by 1) "Buddy Knox" on the Jacket, while the label reads: "Buddy Knox with the Rhythm Orchids;" 2) B4 on back cover reads "I'm In Love With You", and "Cause I'm In Love" on Label; and, 3) "Fratto and Freed" credits on B3 (later withdrawn).

Visually, the vinyl is about VG+ or better, with only superficial smudges here and there. There are a few light scuffs that don't affect the playback. This record is deep-grooved on both sides.

The etched runouts are: Side A: 25003A-1; Side B: 25003B-1 II

Visually, the sleeve is VG+ or better, with no flaws of note other than routine aging. It has slight fraying/softening of some corners. There is a 1-2 inch split on the bottom seam. The front cover remains glossy and is without scuffs or ring-wear. The back is clean with routine yellowing, not too bad.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

A cool record, in great condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
