Description

Buddy Guy-The Blues Showman.What an Album! The rare "First Time I Met The Blues" 12 great tracks and what a line-up of bluesmen backing Buddy. He's on vocal and guitar of course, and amongst the great musicians with him are; Gerry Gibson and Donald Hickens-tenors; Otis Spann & Lafayette Leake - piano; Jack Meyers-bass guitar; Fred Below-drums; Junior Wells &  Sonny Boy Williamson-harmonica & others. The music's fantastic, really punches it's weight. One of the best Blues Albums I've listened to recently whilst grading. Real rockin' blues with a beat! 

Released in the UK in 1969 on the rare Python label, Cat No. LP-PLP-KM2". This record is pretty scarce and not seen hardly at all. It's in Ex. Cond. with just a little surface noise, not very noticeable.One or two minor surface marks, but overall, looks in great condition. Sleeve not much to write home about. Aged sellotape at top side and ringwear shoywing through on front of sleeve, which is a tiny bit grubby.Good couple of columns on Buddy in the sleeve notes by Keith Tillman.
