Description
TCHAIKOVSKY'S VIOLIN CONCERTO..BRONISLAW HUBERMAN, violin, EUGENE ORMANDY conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra. CBS broadcast, March 30, 1946. Transcription disc, 33rpm, 16-inch vinyl, possibly a test pressing..no label, announcements intact, no information shown anywhere except Part 1 and Part 2 faintly pencilled on labels. Matrix numbers 10667-1 and 10667-2. This might even be a Canadian Compo pressing (blank labels and matrix series are similar to known Compo transcriptions). Purpose and provenance unknown. The Concerto is complete on two sides, with announcements. G+ to G. Some wear and scratches (one prominent one on side 2) as well as some other recorded material cut in the dead wax, not part of the original pressing. I have no idea if other copies are floating around although a CD issue was made some years ago, using this disc (without click removal).
