For sale is an extremely rare ORIGINAL copy of BREAD LOVE AND DREAMS album The strange tale of Captain Shannon and the hunchback from Gigha. The album is on The Decca label and was released in 1970

The vinyl is in VG++ - Excellent condition. The vinyl appears very clean but there are some marks there are a few long light surface marks and some paper scuffs which are visible on both sides however this wear is minimal and does appear in lovely condition. When played the sound quality is very very good however to both sides there is some background noise but this is quite quiet. Alos to side one there are a few occassional light ticks and to side 2 again there are some ticks. On side 2 the first track has some louder ticks but then these disappear after a few seconds and does not affect the sound quality much at all. Overall when played on my Kenwood deck, it plays remarkably well for a record of this genre and age.
The labels are in excellent condition with only light wear and a few spindle marks. Side ones label does have a black mark under the catalogue number but does not interfere with any of the labels information
The cover is in good to very good condition but does have a few problems. The edges are in quite clean and relatively wear free condtion with some light rubbing to the corners, and there is some light creasing to the cover. As the pictures show in the bottom right corner there is a whole which has obviously been done with a punch at some point. this whole goes through to the back cover but only causes minor interference. On the front cover as pictures 3 and 5 show there is some residue left from stickers. as picture 3 shows there is a residue from a circle stickers and a small light scuff to the cover under the birds beak. this isnt entirely noticeable and if carefully done may be easy to remove. along the edge of the cver as picture 5 shows there is a thin mark that runs down the cover. i have removed some of this mark but have left the rest but should be easy to remove. The spine is in nice condition and is very clean and easy to read apart from the T in the of the title as a crease hase removed it. The back cover has some rubbing down the bottom which is shown in the picture, but doesnt interfere with the artwork. there us some discolouration. Also along the top of the back cover and faintly across the front there is yellowing which is caused to cellotape residue. the cover had separated at the top and tape had been used. I have carefully removed the tape and restuck the cover. Although the cover has some problems the front is still extremely nice and considering its rarity it has done well to survive at all.
Overall this is a brilliant copy of an extremely rare British folk masterpiece.
