Description

This is the rarest version of the Botch / Murder City Devils split 7".
This record contains TWO 7"s - Both on Purple Vinyl.
Both 7"s contain a song on one side and an Etching in the vinyl on the other side done by a member of each band respectively.

This record was released on Excursion in 1999 as the Soundtrack to the Punk VS. Straight Edge movie "The Edge of Quarrel" (I have this available on DVD, see my other auctions).  Botch do "Frequenting Mass Transit" and The Murder City Devils do an earlier version of "Idle Hands" than the LP version.  Both tracks were recorded by Matt Bayles at Studio Litho in 1999.  These purple vinyl 2x7" copies were 200 of a total one-time only pressing of 2200.  See the  Excursion Website for more details.

These records were made specifically to give to people who helped out with the production of the movie.  To my knowledge they were never available in any store nor through mailorder.  The Bands themselves had some copies, but I do not know if they ever sold any.  Regardless, this was and is a very difficult record to get your hands on.

THIS RECORD IS PART OF AN ENTIRE COLLECTION I AM SELLING FOR A FRIEND. See my other auctions for rare items from Botch, Jawbreaker, Undertow, Sunny Day Real Estate, Green Day, Bad Religion, The Ramones, The Get Up Kids, Buzzcocks, Lync, The Melvins, Nirvana, and more. Some of these items you don't see on Ebay that often, if at all.
